General Labourer-Landscaping

New Earth Estate, is a year-round retreat and event centre, located just outside of the village of Markdale. We are hiring Property Maintenance Person(s) who are the right fit, with no discrimination. This is a year round position and if you are willing to work a labour job, this could be for you.

Tasks include general labour, organizing, lawn and road maintenance, cleaning, repairs, simple construction, and assistance with projects as needed.

We accept your temporary cooperation if you cannot commit to a long-term project. This is a part time employment position, and pay would be salary with the typical  deductions.

Requirements:

• Must be able to handle up to 23 kg (50lbs) 
• Manual dexterity
• Ability to accurately read text and follow instructions
• Ability to work on your own and as needed with others
• Dedicated, articulate and attention to detail
• Some tasks requires using tractor which requires experience

Languages: English

Education: No degree, certificate or diploma

Experience is asset: Will train

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

• Assist with landscape constructions
• Weed, prune and trim trees and plants
• Cut grass or snow removal

• Cart and spread topsoil and other materials
• Lay sod or seed
• Repair and maintain equipment
• Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens
• Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment
• Tree trimming/removal/fire wood harvest
• Assist in variety of outdoor projects
